I have a Nitto Mark's Rack on the front of my commuter bike. It holds a medium-sized Wald Basket.
The setup is very good but not very strong. The rack can't hold much weight but I got it because I thought it would be more aesthetically pleasing than the Wald basket with the legs that connect to the front axle.
I need to find a better front rack and love the idea of fastening to the fork crown. I would also love to have some kind of quick-release attachment system for the basket. One fun option would be to have a removable wire shopping basket for trips to the grocery store...

Nice bike. Impressive rack. Does Duncan have a website?
No website, just his Flickr stream:

About the only non-custom option for a rack like Alistair's is this one from Velo Orange.
Also this one from Pass & Stow.
