Another Stolen Bike Alert

First generation Kogswell P/R stolen in San Jose!

From http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/bik/2604975524.html

My Kogswell P/R was stolen from an apartment parking garage in San Jose on the 17th or 18th. This is a rare frame, only a few dozen made. The front rack even more so. Let me or the SJPD know if you see it anywhere.

Rack Repair Weekend

This weekend I got back to some brazing by completing two different rack repairs: John's Ebisu low rider rack and Ely's Nitto M-12 rack. John's rack had popped an eyelet during some mixed-terrain touring and he wanted me to replace all the eyelets with tab-style mounts. It was a little weird taking apart the joints of the rack that hadn't failed yet! Ely's rack sheared off its fork-crown mounting bolt, so it needed replacing. This was my first time repairing racks and also working with existing chrome plating, and I'm pretty happy with how both repairs turned out.

Low Rider

Looking good.
